SEMINARS AND LUNCH & lEARNS

WoodTALKS Program

BC Wood makes available to specifiers, through its WoodTALKS Program, educational programs on BC’s value-added wood industry and the world class and innovative wood products they manufacture.

With funding support from the Province of BC and Industry, the WoodTALKS Program is able to deliver educational conferences, factory tours, workshops, and seminars, including lunch & learn sessions, to all those tasked with specifying or seeking wood products.

BC Wood is a Registered Provider with the Architectural Institute of BC (AIBC), the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) , the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the Interior Designer Continuing Educational Council (IDCEC) and is therefore able to provide educational learning units to registered members of these associations on all approved courses.

BC Wood is also associate members of the Architectural Wood Manufactures Association of Canada – BC Chapter (AWMAC), Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) and the Independent Contractors Business Association (ICBA).

Lunch and Learns

Lunch & Learn seminars provide an overview of this industry and create a greater awareness of it. This includes environmental and technical issues, unique products and how to access them. This is done so those who specify products can have a working understanding of what is produced here in BC.

Specifiers Guide

The Wood Products Specifiers Book is a resource for architects, interior designers and specifiers on BC’s world class wood products manufacturing companies, the products they produce, and access information. To make accessing more efficiently, companies have been categorized into the sector that best describes their products. Click the button below to view the book.
