You wouldn’t know it from the weather, but the change of seasons is fast approaching. As we move into the Fall, BC Wood has a number of exciting trade activities to provide BC manufacturers the opportunity to increase sales while diversifying your markets.
The recent announcement from Prime Minister Carney on the creation of the Build Canada Homes Program is one such opportunity. To take advantage of this, BC Wood and member companies from the pre-built and panelized manufacturing sector will participate in the First Nations Housing Conference in Saskatoon this November and the Building Show in Toronto this December. Both events provide a excellent opportunities for manufacturers to strengthen their sales in the domestic Canadian market. It also provides a platform for manufacturers who supply products into the residential and light commercial construction sector to connect with distributors from the Prairie region and central Canadian markets.
To further expand sales into the US market, BC Wood and member companies will participate in the Bond Custom Home event taking place October 23-26 in Florida. Similar to the recently completed Building Connection event in Whistler, Bond Custom Home directly connects BC Industry to key builders and architects from across North America who specialize in the high-end custom home and vacation home market.
To wrap up a busy fall season, BC Wood, in partnership with the AIA Santa Barbara, will host a Building Connections networking and market mission event in California this December. This event will build upon our successful Building Connections Napa event from earlier this Spring. Participants will meet directly with architects, builders and developers from the growing Santa Barbara, Montecito, and coastal regions.
As the season changes, BC Wood continues to offer a wide range of market development activities to help BC industry diversify and increase sales potential. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to me dfarley@bcwood.com or on my cell at 604 728 8786.
