The UBC Centre for Advanced Wood Processing (CAWP) is pleased to share important updates about the upcoming British Columbia Timber Building Technical Tour. The tour has been rescheduled to October 20–24, 2025, giving participants even more time to plan and join this unique exploration of BC’s thriving mass timber and prefabricated construction sector.
In addition, we’re excited to announce that the tour has now been officially approved by the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) for 18 Core Learning Units—a significant professional development opportunity for architects and designers. The tour also offers approximately 16.5 BC Housing CPD credits for residential builders and other industry professionals.
This five-day coach tour takes participants behind the scenes at some of BC’s most innovative timber companies—including StructureCraft, Paradigm Panels, Daizen Joinery, Kalesnikoff, Mercer Mass Timber, Spearhead Timberworks, and several others—showcasing the latest in prefabrication, sustainability, and advanced timber design.
Thanks to the generous support of Forestry Innovation Investment, the subsidized rate for BC-based professionals remains $1,995 (full cost: $2,495), covering transportation, accommodation, and most meals. With only 25 spots available, early registration is highly recommended.
