Global Buyers Mission

SAVE THE DATE!

The 9th Annual Global Buyers Mission is scheduled for September 6 to 8, 2012, at the beautiful Whistler Conference Centre.  Wood products manufacturers from across Canada will be invited to meet with pre-qualified international buyers from our target markets of China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Europe and the United States.  We are anticipating another 700 participants to join us on the Mountain again this year and if you are interested in details on how you can be part of the program, please contact us at gbm@bcwood.com, or call our office.  We look forward to seeing you in September!

The 8th annual Global Buyers Mission™ (GBM) took place in Whistler, September 8th to 10th, 2011. The GBM is a three-day, invitation only networking/tradeshow event developed to bring together qualified international buyers of wood products from around the world, with Canadian manufacturers of products that included finished materials, building supplies and remanufacturing products.

Partner Associations, the Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau, Western Red Cedar Lumber Association & Western Red Cedar Export Association also delivered events for their members on Thursday September 8th, 2011.

Living & Building with Wood Program (LBWW)
In conjunction with the Global Buyers Mission in Whistler, we presented the “Living & Building with Wood Program” which included a day and a half of seminars and program information designed specifically for architects, builders, developers, municipal planners, engineers and specifiers in the Province.  Part of the program included meeting many wood products manufacturers and suppliers that will be helpful when it comes to sourcing materials for building projects, particularly those compliant with the Wood First Act.  For a listing of participants in the LBWW Program, please click here
