The GBM event itself including Registration and the two delicious morning breakfasts are held in the Whistler Conference Centre, located at 4010 Whistler Way.  A map/link with all the important GBM locations/destinations will be included in your confirmation documents.
You will come to the Whistler Conference on Wednesday afternoon, between 1:00 -5:30 PM to pick-up your nametag, Mission Program Guide and event bag.  You must wear your nametag to all events during the GBM, so we know who you are and that you should be there!  This is an invitation-only, pre-registration event so if you are not wearing a nametag, security will likely escort you to our management registration area.
Not a problem!  Just ask security or a staff member to escort you to our registration area and we will reprint your documents.
An international Buyer has been pre-qualified and invited by either one of our international offices, or vetted and invited from an international trade office.  An international Buyer lives offshore or outside of Canada and must pay to travel to Whistler to attend the event.  A Participant is generally a wood products buyer, perhaps representing an off-shore or out of country company that purchases wood from BC.  If the buyer is located or living in BC, then they would be considered a Participant, as they would not have to travel from afar to attend the event.  Our funders have agreed to cost-share some of the expenses, to encourage international Buyer’s attendance at the event.  If you would like more information on what category you qualify for, please contact us at

Every delegate for the GBM is registered online, either directly or through a Mission Leader.  If you did not yet receive an invitation with your direct link, category and security access code, please contact us at and we can share!

We would be delighted!  Guests are restricted to attending the evening events only and must be pre-registered for the activities.  If you are already a registered delegate, you would have received an invitation and link to invite a Guest/Spouse and register them online.  If you do not have this link, please contact us at and we will be happy to send it again.
Business casual covers most of the activities during the GBM.  Wednesday evening, we do recommend a light coat or sweater as it does cool down on top of the mountain!  Thursday night is generally a little more posh, so you may want to add a blazer to those jeans! Ladies, wear your bling!
