As we approach the end of our calendar year, we begin the process of identifying programs, events, and tradeshows for BC Wood members for the upcoming fiscal year, April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. This means you are invited to participate in our Sector Advisory Committee meetings.
One of the great things about being a BC Wood member is that you can have a say in our programming by assisting us in selecting the most beneficial activities for your sector’s participation.
As you know, trade shows and events are the most significant means BC Wood has of getting your companies and products in front of important buyers. There are thousands of tradeshows all over the world and we do our best to target the markets where our members will have the best opportunities for growth and success. These are currently the US, China, Korea, Japan, Europe and Canada. Because we have full time staff and resources in most of these markets, it also gives our members the advantage of organized, on-site pre and post event activities and missions. However, we are open to suggestion on any and all market activities that fall within our funder’s guidelines.
Once we have completed our Sector Advisory Committee meetings, the BC Wood staff prepares our proposals and requests to our Provincial and Federal Government funders for submission by mid-January. Approvals are generally received by mid-March.
