This week, I got the pleasure to talk with Mike Pidlisecky about Woodtone Building Products.  Mike is the VP of Sales and Marketing for Woodtone.

Woodtone is a value-added coating manufacturing company. Their products start with wood that is then engineered, machined, and coated to create a full line of siding and trim products that deliver performance, stability, and beauty.

Having been in business for over thirty years, Woodtone is firmly entrenched in the communities in which they operate. In 2008, they formed a dedicated team, the Community Builders Team, which is tasked with giving back to their communities and providing opportunities for their employees to volunteer. Some of the activities they have been involved with are: the Fraser River Clean Up, tree planting, park invasive species removal, built emergency shelters for a school, supported local sports teams, donated books, toys and food to local Community Services organizations, sponsored families at Christmas, and are proud sponsors of the Narbeck Wetland.

Woodtone is currently getting ready to exhibit at the 2010 Global Buyers Mission (GBM) in Whistler.  They are returning for their fourth year at the GBM this year.  The GBM has benefited them greatly by allowing them to meet new customers in North America and Asia to facilitate new business partnerships.  The Global Buyers Mission has also allowed them to continuously meet with existing customers and introduce them to different products and services that Woodtone offers.
